Service learning is an essential part of our curriculum, providing students with developmentally appropriate opportunities to engage in meaningful and impactful service projects. Our program promotes personal and social responsibility, self-reflection, and community engagement.
Our students have the opportunity to work with a variety of community organizations and engage in service projects. Through these experiences, students develop empathy, compassion, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
This begins as early as preschool, with participation in our Charitable Dress Down Days. The entire school participates in our Veterans Day Flag-Raising and Ceremony. This signature annual event provides context and classroom opportunities to connect with our service community. Our Middle School students also have a standing relationship with Light House, a homeless prevention support center here in Annapolis.
Our service learning program is integrated into our curriculum, providing students with opportunities to apply their learning to real-world situations. Students are encouraged to reflect on their experiences and the impact they can make, allowing them to develop a sense of purpose and responsibility for creating positive change in the world.
We believe that service learning is an essential component of a well-rounded education, and we are committed to providing our students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to become compassionate and engaged citizens.
